My Training

I hold a degree in Pharmacy from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. After I graduated, I served for several years as a Clinical Pharmacy Teaching Assistant at Misr International University. My interest in addressing the root causes of illness—not just managing symptoms—led me to shift my focus toward integrative nutrition and functional medicine.

I began my formal training in holistic nutrition at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in New York, one of the most recognized institutions in the field. There, I studied over 100 dietary theories, including plant-based, Paleo, raw, macrobiotic, Atkins, and gluten-free approaches, among others. IIN’s comprehensive curriculum emphasized the concept of bio-individuality—that no one diet or lifestyle fits all—and expanded my understanding of the connection between nutrition, lifestyle, and overall well-being.

To further deepen my clinical knowledge, I enrolled in the School of Applied Functional Medicine (SAFM) in 2018. I completed my certification as a Functional Medicine Practitioner in March 2023. This advanced training has equipped me with a science-based framework for identifying and addressing the root causes of chronic health issues, particularly those related to gut health, hormonal imbalance, immune dysfunction, and metabolic conditions.

Throughout my education, I had the privilege of learning from some of the world’s foremost experts in health, nutrition, and integrative medicine, including:Joshua Rosenthal, MScEd – Founder and Director, Institute for Integrative Nutrition
Dr. Deepak Chopra, MD – Mind-Body Medicine Pioneer, Bestselling Author
Dr. David Katz, MD, MPH – Authority in Preventive Medicine, Yale Prevention Research Center
